Privacy
Short version: your figures stay in your browser unless you use the AI assistant. Google Analytics only runs if you accept it, and never sees your figures.
The figures you enter stay on your device
There are no accounts. The figures you type into the calculators, your saved scenarios and your retirement plan are stored in your browser's local storage so they are still there next time. They are not sent to us. Clearing your browser data removes them.
Share links
When you copy a share link, your figures are encoded into the link itself. Anyone with the link can see those figures, so only share it with people you trust.
The AI assistant
When you use the assistant, your message, the figures currently in the calculator and any payslip you attach are sent to an AI model through Vercel's AI Gateway to produce the answer. We do not keep chat history or attachments after the answer is returned. Avoid attaching documents that show more than you want to share, such as your National Insurance number; you can cover it before uploading.
Analytics
If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages and calculators people use, so we know what to improve. It records the pages you view, your approximate location (country and city), your device and browser, and how you found the site, such as a search engine. It sets cookies named _ga and _ga_DHHCXBX6B6 that last up to two years. Google Analytics does not store IP addresses, and we keep its advertising features switched off.
Until you accept, Google Analytics is not loaded at all. If you reject, it stays off. You can change your mind at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page; withdrawing removes the cookies. We remember your choice in your browser's local storage.
The figures you enter are never sent to Google Analytics. When you open a share link, the figures in it are removed from the address before the visit is recorded.
Hosting and logs
The site is hosted on Vercel, which keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and reliability.
Changes
If we add advertising or change how we use analytics, we will update this page first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
